If you have signed up with us as a user of our system, you have the right to view, edit, and/or delete the information obtained by us during the sign-up process. If you have not signed up with us, we may still receive your personal information from a client of ours who provides us with your information for information returns filing purposes. We cannot share that information with you directly or delete your information on your request. You must contact the entity that has provided us this information, and they, in turn, can request us to remove your information under the governing laws.
PLEASE NOTE: Personal information provided either by you or on your behalf for the purpose of filing tax returns is subject to required retention periods prescribed by federal and state laws (maximum of four years) and cannot be deleted before the expiration of all required retention periods. We conduct periodic reviews to ensure that personal information relating to filed returns is securely erased within one (1) year after the expiration of the required retention period.
Sensitive personal information: we only collect information that is commonly referred to as ‘sensitive personal information’ under GDPR as it is required by the law and needed to provide our clients with electronic filing services.
